The Waskom High School Library
strives to provide students and faculty with resources that
enhance and enrich the learning experience. Students and
teachers alike are provided with resources in a variety of
formats, including print and electronic. The library provides
an online catalog as well online databases that are accessible
from campus or home.
The library is available for
use from 7:30 to 3:45, Monday through Friday. Students may come
in at any time to check out books or read through a wide
assortment of magazines and newspapers. The Waskom High School
Library currently has 6,835 books in its collection. The high
school library is especially proud of its reference section.
Many of these reference books are used by seniors for their
literature research papers. There are also several computers
dedicated for Internet use by students.
Jackie Lower is the District
Librarian. Her office is located in the Waskom High School
Library. Mrs. Lower has worked for Waskom Independent
School District for twelve years. Her knowledge and expertise
are valuable when students need extra help.
The high school library aide
is Susan Michel. Mrs. Michel has worked in the library for
eight years. She enjoys helping students locate materials for
projects, research and enjoyment.
The Waskom High School Library
offers a wide range of services to all who need help and is a
vital component of the high school campus.
