50th Anniversary - Established 1958

The Waskom FFA is a member of the Longview District, Area VI of the Texas FFA Association.  We are located on the eastern edge of the state on I-20 between Marshall, Texas and Shreveport, Louisiana.  The Waskom FFA is active in leadership and career development (judging) activities as well as maintaining a strong livestock and ag mechanics program. 
The Waskom Jr. FFA is made up of students who are 9 years old or are in the 3rd grade, these members may participate in livestock showing activities and compete in livestock & horse  judging contests when jr. teams are allowed.  We are also fortunate to have a very active and supportive booster club which assists in all of our activities in addition to raising funds for our scholarship program. 
Waskom FFA members were awarded $6,000 in scholarships during the annual banquet in 2007.  These  funds were the result of the generosity of local businesses and individuals who believe in our program as well as our students.  Donors for 2007 include BSJ Farms of Marshall, the family of G.W. Watson, Martex Well Service, Rex and Debbie Kyle, Marshall Ford Co., and the Waskom Ag Boosters.
