In Mrs. Solomon's 8th grade science classes, the Soda-Bottle Shooter Lab was a lab to show students how Newton's Law works. We mixed baking soda and vinegar (with our choice of how much to use of each) together in a soda-bottle with a cork stopper closing the air into the bottle. We learned that an acid plus a base results in salt water. This lab was Newton's first, second, and third law. It also showed us how pressure and forces (balanced and unbalanced) work on objects.
