COVID-19 Information: Waskom ISD has temporarily closed school buildings, but not education. We are working hard to make this temporary situation and transition as easy as possible. Listed below you will find contact information. Links to educational websites for online learning can be found by clicking the tab on the left menu bar.
To My Students: First – Know that I miss each and every one of you and look forward to the time when we can resume our routine and you are all back in Room 1. Second – I understand that there is a lot going on in the world around you and some of it may be stressful. Remember to take time for yourself each day to reflect, journal, play outside, meditate, sing, listen to music, dance, write poetry, play a video game, play a sport, anything that brings you joy and comfort. Find something you can get better at, and practice it. Use this time wisely. Get to know your family better, help your parents out, tutor younger siblings, call family members and friends often. And, don’t forget, all learning is not from a book or even from a school. Set aside time for your assignments, but never stop learning!
I have set up Google Classrooms for each class. The codes are on my schedule page. Each of you should have received an invitation to the class you are enrolled in, so please join as soon as possible.
Online classes and assignments will start April 6, and you will need to log in each day to check for your assignments.
